Deloitte becomes official signatory of Abu Dhabi

Deloitte has signed the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration. For supporting their clients and to demonstrate the firm’s commitment to sustainability in the Middle East they are moving towards using sustainable finance for their operations. This Declaration is led by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This serves as a commitment for collaboration with other prominent public and private entities for supporting the UAE’s Vision 2030 and the UAE Green Agenda.

Along with its stakeholders, ADGM aims to develop a sustainable finance ecosystem. Mutasem Dajani, CEO, Deloitte Middle East said that the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability are critical pillars in everything they do at Deloitte. They are honored to become official signatories to the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration, by supporting the committee. Mark Cutis, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Global Market Authority said that the key to develop a vibrant sustainable finance hub is fostering cooperation. It also includes encouraging dialogue between local and international stakeholders. Deloitte as a new signatory of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration. This is in concert with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the UAE Central Bank and the Securities and Commodities Authority.

Damian Regan, Deloitte Middle East Assurance Leader for Sustainability said that they are delighted to be able to offer their full support and sustainable finance expertise to the region, along with their global Deloitte network. Innovative concepts and ideas are provided to leverage green finance solutions to organizations in the United Arab Emirates. Deloitte joins the panel of 46 public and private sector signatories. ADGM was hosted and that took place during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The 2022 edition of ADSFF is expected to witness the addition of further signatories. This accelerates the mobilization of private capital towards low-carbon, environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient investments.
