Pan-Asian big data exchange enhances data center accessibility

Pan-Asian big data exchange enhances data center accessibility

Singapore boasts the highest megawatt per capita globally as Big Data exchange, a pan-Asian carrier neutral data center cluster partnered with Cogent communications (SIN1) data center facility.

The increase in demand for the colocation space has made the availability of data centers hard to reach for the emerging customers. BDx acquired SIN1 earlier this year and is now available as a facility to service new customers in Singapore. Cogent is a leading telecoms carrier which is now available to all BDx customers as a connectivity option regardless of the service they require. They even offer high standards of operations and customer support.

The new agreement with the Cogent has marked the beginning of a strategic partnership which will be developed further said Sona Singh, Business Development director at BDx. Now that Cogent has chosen BDx to partner within the important Singapore market, together they can provide a wide range of services to their customers.

The decision of Cogent partnering with BDx was because the center provided the widest range of flexible, secure, on-demand connectivity options at each of its facilities.

SIN1 provides critical connectivity for customers seeking expansion to the Southeast Asian market. Cogent being one of the largest tier 1 IP providers globally decided to partner with BDx due to its state of the art operations and customers support.
