Healthy and happy workforce to generate more productivity

Globally accepted and recognized legacy to this pandemic is hybrid working. For the majority of the employees, the working hours which were five days a week is over and with employee choice of how they want to split their time between remote working and office working is the new standard now. For example, two of the major companies Revolut and Spotify, recently enhanced their hybrid working policies and likewise many more are to be following.  However it raises the question about the working set up that the employees might spend the majority of the time in. Where as in the office, it is on employees to ensure that the workers will be provided with a proper working set up which means that they are well equipped for a comfortable work and have the maximum productivity. Right now it is not the same duty for equipping their set up at their homes. Only armed with the bare essentials like a laptop and a headset at the start of last year’s lockdown time and it was solely up to workers to set up a desk and make themselves comfortable to work.

Since we are further into this hybrid journey, it is clear that many employees can spend most of their working weeks at home. Although if the office workers have around 1,700 hours a year of screen time of work purposes only, then there are more chances where in without the correct set up, they can have a bad posture causing more damages to their bodies and well being. As we know good ergonomics is good economics!
