People’s Bank, a pioneer in the Sri Lankan banking and financial services sector, announced a significant milestone in its journey towards the country’s digital banking supremacy. As of 31st August 2023, the Bank has successfully enabled digital banking services through its internet banking, mobile banking app, and Wallet App for more than two million customers, revolutionising their banking experience and providing seamless access to a range of innovative financial solutions.

The Bank’s online and mobile banking solutions cater to the needs of both individual and corporate clients. While People’s Wave mobile app, People’s Web internet banking, and People’s Pay wallet app solution cater to retail customers’ banking requirements, People’s Wyn Mobile banking solution and People’s Web –corporate Internet banking solution cater to corporate customers, the bank said.
People’s Bank also offers a comprehensive digital account opening facility that includes a bundle of digital features and services to enhance customer experience and convenience. People’s Wiz is a paperless digital account opening solution that allows customers to open a Bank account with copies of photographs and KYC documents thus eliminating extensive paperwork.
This system allows the People’s Bank’s Digital Agents to visit the customers and open the accounts seamlessly with the help of a tablet. In addition, People’s Pay Merchant Module simplified the ‘Lanka QR’ registration process, which enables and encourages small businesses to adopt digital payment solutions, the Bank said.
